Donald Trump claims parents of 6 killed in Iran war had request

Donald Trump has shared an emotional message he says came directly from the families of U.S. service members killed during the recent military conflict involving Iran. His comments followed a solemn ceremony honoring troops who lost their lives during the early stages of the confrontation.

The conflict intensified after joint airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel on February 28. Reports from the region claimed that Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, was killed during the strikes, dramatically escalating tensions.

In response, Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. assets and allied locations across the region. Strikes reportedly involved sites in BahrainKuwaitQatarJordan, and the United Arab Emirates as hostilities intensified.

Trump attended a dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base, where the remains of American service members killed overseas are returned. The ceremony honored six soldiers who died on March 1.

According to reports, the troops were killed when an unmanned aerial attack struck a command center in Port Shuaiba after breaching air defenses. Another service member, Benjamin N. Pennington, was later reported killed during the conflict.

Following the ceremony, Trump described meeting with the families of the fallen troops as deeply emotional. He said the relatives shared a common message with him while grieving their loved ones.

According to Trump, each family urged him to continue the mission. He said they asked him directly to “finish the job,” a request he described as powerful and moving.

Trump also claimed that U.S. forces had already significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities and suggested the conflict could soon reach its conclusion. As the situation continues to unfold, the loss of American service members has become a central focus of national discussion about the war’s future.
