Savannah Guthrie makes chilling confession that mom Nancy may be dead

The family of Savannah Guthrie is enduring an agonizing wait as the search for her mother, Nancy Guthrie, enters its fourth week. In an emotional update, the television anchor acknowledged the possibility no family wants to face — that her 84-year-old mother may no longer be alive.

Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her home in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson on February 1. Since then, authorities have pursued numerous leads in what investigators describe as a complex and deeply distressing case.

Surveillance footage from a Ring doorbell camera reportedly captured a masked person near the property around the time of the disappearance. Officials have not identified the individual, but the video has intensified concerns that foul play may be involved.

On February 24 — 24 days after her mother was last seen — Savannah shared a video message online describing the emotional toll on her family. She spoke about sleepless nights, constant worry, and the pain of uncertainty.

She also expressed gratitude for the support pouring in from viewers and communities across the country. Savannah said prayers and messages of encouragement have helped her family endure the waiting and remain hopeful.

While asking the public to continue praying, she said she still believes a miracle is possible and holds onto hope that her mother could return home safely. At the same time, she acknowledged the painful reality that her mother may already be gone.

Authorities in Arizona report receiving thousands of tips, each reviewed as investigators continue searching for answers. The volume of information reflects widespread public attention and the urgency surrounding the case.

Savannah announced her family is offering a reward of up to $1 million for credible information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s recovery. Their message remains clear: whether the outcome brings relief or heartbreak, they need answers — and they are asking anyone who knows something to come forward.
