What are the main principles of Feng Shui?
Feng-Shui is to the home what acupuncture is to the body. The right energy must be able to circulate well to bring well-being and harmony. If Feng-Shui is decorative, it also and above all allows you to work on yourself. The house is a projection of oneself, a mirror, and Feng-Shui allows us to become aware of the relationship with our home and its consequences on our lives. We often mistakenly think that the problems come from the outside, when all it takes is a Feng-Shui arrangement to put all the assets on our side and find a good harmony.
What are the mistakes not to make?
Each member of the family must find his or her place in the home, just as he or she does in life. Everyone has their own space, it’s possible, even in a small home. In the couple’s bedroom, no more TV, computer, children’s photos… but also objects in sets of 3, mirrors reflecting the bed and the window on top of that. I also advise against toys scattered throughout the house. For a good balance, preserve everyone’s living spaces. You should also not place a mirror in front of your front door… These are small things, but put end to end, it disturbs the balance of the house, and its inhabitants!Can bad Feng Shui induce physical disorders?
A bad Feng-Shui can be due to a bad layout, or it can be related to the history of the house. The Feng-Shui intervention makes it possible to correct and remedy it, most often. It is easy to observe, for example, that sleep is more or less good depending on the orientation of the bed, that some houses are more pleasant to live in than others. Depending on the degree of harmfulness, the physical disorders can be amplified. If the bed is not in the right place, sleep disorders can be observed. A poorly placed desk may not promote concentration, furniture with protruding corners, beams, a poorly positioned mirror can also cause discomfort.
Do you have an example to give us?
A 30-month-old child did not speak, did not stand and developed asthma. The doctors had no explanation. Worried, the mother contacted me: Her baby was installed in the guest room and the room was not decorated for him at all. He just had a small bed planted in the middle of the room and a few toys stored in a chest. The room was redesigned and the child’s world was created taking into account the trigram and the favourable directions. And today, she is a little girl like all the others.
What to do then?
Listening, identifying what residents want to improve, strengthen or change in their lives, and determine the necessary individualized arrangements and care. It is wise to choose for each of our activities the orientation, the layout of the furniture, the shapes, the materials, the colors of the walls, to determine the most favorable layout. I have many more pretty stories like the little girl’s. Feng-Shui allows me to provide answers to certain questions, even very personal ones, and to give meaning to the why of things!
