The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of Savannah Guthrie, continues to attract national attention as investigators work to uncover answers. Nancy was reported missing after disappearing from her home near Tucson, Arizona, earlier this year.

Patel also praised investigators for uncovering one of the most important leads in the case so far. Security footage from a doorbell camera reportedly showed a masked individual near the home around the time Nancy disappeared, creating additional questions for investigators.

This week, concern grew again after bones were discovered less than five miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home. The discovery led many people online to wonder whether the remains could be connected to the missing persons investigation.

Police quickly secured the area and began examining the remains. However, investigators later stated the bones appeared to be very old and were likely unrelated to the active investigation. Officials explained the discovery may belong to a prehistoric or anthropological site rather than a modern criminal case.

Although the recent discovery did not provide the breakthrough many hoped for, the search for answers continues. Authorities say they remain committed to following evidence carefully and working together across agencies as they continue investigating the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
