{"id":5992,"date":"2026-04-04T21:53:55","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T21:53:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsnowtrendi.xyz\/?p=5992"},"modified":"2026-04-04T21:53:56","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T21:53:56","slug":"plus-sized-influencer-goes-viral-for-airplane-bathroom-battle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsnowtrendi.xyz\/?p=5992","title":{"rendered":"Plus-sized influencer goes viral for airplane bathroom battle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-shrinking-bathrooms\">Shrinking bathrooms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, the&nbsp;Los Angeles Times&nbsp;reports that as&nbsp;airlines&nbsp;look to boost profits in a climate of rising labor costs and surging fuel prices, they\u2019re turning to a new strategy: shrinking the lavatories to add an extra row of seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Gary Weissel, managing director of Tronos Aviation Consulting Inc., American Airlines could bring in an extra $400,000 a year for each seat it adds to a plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEven with passenger complaints on these lavs, I don\u2019t see airlines pulling them out,\u201d Weissel told the publication. \u201cThe revenue generated from being able to get an additional row of seats in there is too great.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jimmy Walton, a pilot with the airline, calls the shrinking bathrooms \u201cthe most miserable experience in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019ve added 12 more seats, no more lavatories, and you\u2019ve shrunk that lavatory to 75% of what it was before,\u201d Walton said. \u201cI can\u2019t turn around in it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-super-close-to-having-an-accident\">\u2018Super close to having an accident\u2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For Bo, her journey has become a logistical nightmare. She has to turn sideways just to shuffle down the aisle, careful not to bump into seats or passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And she won\u2019t use the bathroom, even if it\u2019s an emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t use the bathroom, and my maximum flight time is about six hours. I\u2019ve never had a problem with that before except once I came super close to having an accident on a flight from San Francisco to Chicago,\u201d the&nbsp;influencer said&nbsp;in the clip that\u2019s been viewed by 2.7 million people. \u201cThere was some bad weather and my plane was rerouted; they tacked on an extra two hours to the flight and things got a little sketch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aisles-aren-t-the-problem\">\u2018Aisles aren\u2019t the problem\u2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bo Berry\u2019s bravery in sharing her story sparked a wave of mixed reactions online, creating a heated debate on whether personal&nbsp;size&nbsp;should dictate airline design \u2013 or if it\u2019s reasonable to expect such sweeping changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen you\u2019re the only one on the plane affected by the narrow aisles, the aisles aren\u2019t the problem,\u201d one user writes on&nbsp;Facebook&nbsp;in response to Bo\u2019s story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDiet and exercise seem a bit more logical than redesigning aircrafts,\u201d shares a second, while a third adds, \u201cOh ok \u2013 let\u2019s widen aisles \u2013 it\u2019s easier than going on diet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another writes, \u201cWe are not going to rebuild airplanes because someone refuses to do the work to be at a healthy and reasonable size.
