But after everything he\u2019s done, I don\u2019t feel sorry for him anymore,\u201d she said in an interview with&nbsp;Y Ahora Sonsoles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe hasn\u2019t respected my decision and he never will.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her request was eventually approved by a specialized committee in Catalonia in July 2024. But her father, backed by a conservative legal group, continued fighting the decision all the way to Spain\u2019s highest courts \u2014 and even to the European Court of Human Rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each time, the rulings went in Noelia\u2019s favor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-i-ve-finally-done-it\">\u201cI\u2019ve finally done it\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her final days, Noelia made it clear she was ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ve finally done it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLet\u2019s see if I can finally rest because I can\u2019t take this family anymore, the pain, everything that torments me from what I\u2019ve been through.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noelia had long been certain about her choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-her-final-moments\">Her final moments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her euthanasia was scheduled for Thursday evening \u2014 and carried out using three injections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first induced deep sedation, the second deepened unconsciousness, and the third ultimately stopped her heart, according to&nbsp;The Mirror.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The night before, her mother stayed with her at Sant Camil Hospital in Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-main.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2026\/03\/27062137\/tik12.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-189869\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Tik Tok<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other family members, including her father, siblings, and grandmother, also came to say goodbye. Although the family was expected to step out and leave her alone with the doctor administering the injections around 5:30 p.m., they remained by her side for at least another half hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The procedure itself is believed to have ultimately begun around 6:30 p.m. local time. According to reports, the procedure lasted only minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noelia remained in the room only with the doctor during the final procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-i-want-to-die-looking-beautiful\">\u201cI want to die looking beautiful\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In&nbsp;a final interview, Noelia shared how she wanted her last moments to look \u2014 and feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ve told them how I want it to be. I want to die looking beautiful. I\u2019ve always thought I want to die looking good. I\u2019ll wear my prettiest dress and put on make-up; it will be something simple,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She also chose to have four personal photos with her \u2014 reminders of happier times in a life filled with pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-family-divided\">A family divided<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her decision left her family torn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNone of my family is in favour of euthanasia. But what about all the pain I\u2019ve suffered during all these years,\u201d Noelia said. \u201cThe happiness of a father, a mother, or a sister cannot be more important than the life of a daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her mother, Yolanda, struggled to accept it \u2014 but never left her side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am not in favor of euthanasia, of course I am not in favor, but I will always be by her side until the very last moment, as long as she allows me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-debate-far-from-over\">A debate far from over<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spain legalized euthanasia in 2021 for people suffering from serious and incurable conditions \u2014 but cases like Noelia\u2019s continue to divide public opinion.
